Principles and Advantages

The Protein Diet

Proteins play a major role in every stage in the life of a cell, and particularly in its reconstruction. They are present in tissue, enzymes, hormones, etc. - as well as in the muscles, which represent the largest amount of protein material. This muscle mass must be preserved by a daily intake of highly nutritional protein.
The human body
has three major energy sources:
Proteins (amino acid chain)
Glucides (sugars)
Lipids (fats)

The protein diet consists of an intake that is very rich in protein and very low in glucides (sugar) and lipids (fat), which obliges the body to dip into its fat reserves (lipolysis) in order to manufacture the ENERGY that it needs on a daily basis. Weight loss occurs first in the areas of the body where excess fat is the greatest, thus preserving muscle mass.

Advantages

  Rapid and lasting weight loss
Due to the process of ketonogenesis, the sensation of hunger is absent from the second or third day, and is replaced by a feeling of overall well-being
A more defined figure; the protein diet encourages the elimination of fat while preserving muscle mass
A glowing complexion due to proteins and vitamins.
  A method that WORKS:
Faster weight loss, increased motivation.

A method that is SAFE:
Administered under the supervision of your physician

A method that is EASY TO FOLLOW:
Only certain, recommended vegetables are authorized supplements to AXODIET® products.

The AXODIET® Method

Your physician will outline the various, personalized phases to follow, such as:
Your physician, trained in the protein diet, and in the absence of contra-indications, will determine with you:
  • The number of kilos to lose to arrive at your ideal weight
  • The various steps and phases of the method as well as their duration
  • The number of AXODIET® DP70 packets to be consumed daily as well as the choice and quantities of authorized vegetables.
  • • He or she may prescribe nutritional supplements according to the results of your check-up: potassium, calcium, magnesium, etc.
  • • He or she will give you a medical certificate indicating your fitness to follow a hyperprotein diet.

The strict protein diet

Phase A
  Consisting of:
  • An increased intake of highly organic protein, usually in packet form.
  • Fiber intake in the form of vegetables (authorized list) to assure proper intestinal functions.
  • supplementary nutritional intake and beverage (2 litres of water daily)

This diet allows for rapid weight loss, and your physician will often reserve its use for extreme excess weight conditions or when rapid weight reduction is deemed necessary.

A day on the strict diet:
The following is an example. Your physician may modify certain details on a case-by-case basis.
List of vegetables authorized under the STRICT DIET

celery* aubergines spinach
mushrooms* bok choy bean sprouts
cucumber* broccoli lamb’s lettuce
watercress* cabbage sorrel
radishes* cauliflower peppers
lettuce* gherkins courgettes
which are allowed at will (especially those with an asterisk*) raw,
cooked without fat, with no preservatives (plain frozen allowed).

The MIXED PROTEIN DIET

Phase B

  • As recommended by your physician, a combination of protein packets and traditional food in the form of one real meal per day (with choice of vegetables from the authorized list below).
  • This diet can also be used from the beginning by individuals wishing to maintain one real meal per day or in tandem with the strict protein diet.
  • Physicians may reserve this diet for cases in which the excess weight is less extreme.
  • It mixes protein AXODIET DP70 or DP packets with traditional food.

A day on the mixed diet
The following is an example. Your physician may modify certain details on a case-by-case basis. If you wish, you can exchange the midday and evening meals

Stabilization

Phase C
  Consisting of:
A progressive, step-by-step reintroduction of food while maintaining protein intake in mixed diet mode: protein packets with food protein. This phase is undertaken systematically following the mixed or strict protein diet, in several steps of varying lengths. The stabilization phase is very important towards the final result.
Your physician will guide you through each phase of the AXODIET® method
He or she may modify the order or length of steps and phases on a case-by-case basis.

Consolidation

Phase D
  Consisting of:
Nutritional re-education. As with any diet, the length of this process is relative to the size of the excess weight. It is during this phase that new eating habits need to be adopted... and temptations abound. Control your excesses and correct your errors quickly. Using hyperprotein AXODIET® bars, biscuits and axodrinks and protein-enriched pasta and semolina preparations can help you maintain your ideal weight more easily.
