The Protein Diet |
| |
Proteins play a major role in every stage in the life of a cell,
and particularly in its reconstruction. They are present in tissue, enzymes, hormones, etc. -
as well as in the muscles, which represent the largest amount of protein material.
This muscle mass must be preserved by a daily intake of highly nutritional protein. |
|
| |
The protein diet consists of an intake that is very rich in
protein and very low in glucides (sugar) and lipids (fat), which obliges the body to dip into its fat reserves
(lipolysis) in order to manufacture the ENERGY that it needs on a daily basis. Weight loss occurs first in the
areas of the body where excess fat is the greatest, thus preserving muscle mass. |

Your physician will outline the various, personalized phases to follow, such as: |
|
| |
The strict protein diet |
Phase A |
|
| |
Consisting of:
- An increased intake of highly organic protein, usually in packet form.
- Fiber intake in the form of vegetables (authorized list) to assure proper intestinal functions.
- supplementary nutritional intake and beverage (2 litres of water daily)
This diet allows for rapid weight loss, and your physician will often reserve its use for extreme excess weight
conditions or when rapid weight reduction is deemed necessary. |

A progressive, step-by-step reintroduction of food while maintaining protein intake in mixed diet mode:
protein packets with food protein. This phase is undertaken systematically following the mixed or strict
protein diet, in several steps of varying lengths. The stabilization phase is very important towards the final result. |
